REFUGIUM SUBSTRATE / MUD
Here at M.J. Aquatics we have been selling refugiums for a number of years and many customers have contacted us regarding replacing their refugium mud. So as always we have listened to our customers and now offer replacement quantities of refugium mud.
We sell it in various quantities to suit the various M.J. Aquatics refugiums and also in larger quantities for other purposes.
This listing is for sizes to suit the M.J. Aquatics 600 Refugium and the 750 Refugium (2 700g and 3 600g respectively) and larger bulk sack for sumps or reef tanks or Cichlid tanks.

The mud we use is a unique blend of Aragonite and other minerals by widely used in sumps and refugiums all around the world.
It is also an Ideal substrate for a marine reef aquariums or African Cichlids.
It’s unique properties enables the removal Nitrate Nitrite Ammonia and other fish waste.
Whilst having unsurpassed buffering capabilities: Which enables you to keep more fish and invertebrates healthier longer!
It has a maximum surface area of up to 10 000 square inches of surface area per cubic inch
Highly co-efficient uniformity which helps prevent bio-fouling.
Supports the proper pH of sea water (8.2) with the fastest reaction time.
